The JEEP® WRANGLER (JL) is available with two engine options. The first option is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The second option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission Type

The JEEP® WRANGLER (JL) is available with two transmission options. The first option is a six-speed manual transmission that is standard on all models. The second option is an eight-speed automatic transmission that is available as an option on all models.
Transfer Case

The JEEP® WRANGLER (JL) is equipped with a part-time four-wheel-drive system. It features a transfer case that allows the driver to select between two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive high, and four-wheel drive low.
Front Axle

The JEEP® WRANGLER (JL) is equipped with a solid front axle. It features a Dana M186 axle with a 3.45 gear ratio as standard equipment. An optional Dana M210 axle with a 4.10 gear ratio is also available.

The JEEP® WRANGLER (JL) is equipped with a solid rear axle. It features a Dana M200 axle with a 3.45 gear ratio as standard equipment. An optional Dana M220 axle with a 4.10 gear ratio is also available.
