JEEP® CJ-5 (1955-1983)

The Willys CJ-5 is a legendary off-road vehicle that has captured the hearts of many enthusiasts for over three decades. Produced by Willys-Overland Motors from 1955 to 1983, it holds the distinction of being one of the longest production runs of any Jeep vehicle.

Originally designed as a civilian version of the military Jeep, the CJ-5 quickly became a popular choice for outdoor enthusiasts who wanted a reliable and versatile vehicle for off-road adventures. Its compact size, sturdy frame, and four-wheel drive capabilities made it the ideal choice for navigating rugged terrain.

Over the years, the CJ-5 underwent several design changes and upgrades to improve its performance and capabilities. These included improvements to the engine, suspension, and brakes, as well as the addition of features such as power steering and automatic transmissions.

Despite its longevity and popularity, the CJ-5 eventually gave way to newer Jeep models and was discontinued in 1983. However, its legacy lives on, and it remains a highly sought-after vehicle by collectors and off-road enthusiasts alike.
