Engine Type

The CJ-6 was equipped with different engine options over the years, including the F-Head 4-cylinder engine, the Hurricane 4-cylinder engine, the Dauntless V6 engine, and the AMC 232 I6 engine. These engines ranged in power from 75 to 155 horsepower.
Transmission Type

The CJ-6 was available with manual transmissions, including a 3-speed manual, a 4-speed manual, and a T-98 4-speed manual. Later models were also offered with an automatic transmission, the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400.
